Claire and Rob married on one of the very rare sunny days of 2012. A beautiful ceremony took place at Claire’s local Church, followed by a reception at the stunning venue, which is, Avington Park.
Claire and Rob own their own event company so needless to say their reception was truly something else. From the chilled Ibiza sounds of the DJ to the elegant flowers and table décor of their wedding breakfast, you’d be forgiven for thinking you were at a very chi chi Mediterranean wedding. After dinner, the guests were later surprised by an additional marquee which had been kept a total secret. Inside revealed a chill out area with white leather seating, chandeliers, and an amazing sweetie tree.
The band played into the evening and a final surprise for Claire and guests were images of the two of them, projected onto the front of Avington Park, it was like a mini re-creation of the Jubilee celebrations at Buckingham palace and an incredible end to their day. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of. Huge thanks to Emma Russell for assisting

On Saturday Ellen and Mark tied the knot at The Tithe Barn in Ditcham. Ellen has her own flower company called Pashleys and we have worked together on quite a few weddings over the last few years so it was lovely to finally be photographing her big day. I had been hoping for some magical frosty weather but all week signs were leading up to a wet warm and windy day. Thankfully on the day itself we did get some sun but it was a bit chilly. Guests braved it outside for the group shots and we managed a few of Ellen and Mark before we took refuge back in the cozy barn. It was great to see two of my past wedding couples, Dave (Marks brother) and Beth and Ben and Laura who were guests.
There was a surprise visit from Father Christmas which was fab for the kids and twinkling fairy lights and Christmas trees made it feel very festive. Church candles decorated the barn and crackers and Lindtt chocolate father Christmas figures decorated the tables. Ellen wore a stunning Maggie Sottero gown called Presca Marie from Miss Bush bridal and looked absolutely radiant.
We left the guests and Bride and Groom dancing to a fab Guildford based band called the Sausage Monkeys. Wishing Ellen and Mark and their gorgeous Merryn a wonderful happy future together. Thanks also to Emma Russell who assisted me on Saturday - as always you had my back!
I’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a merry Christmas and I look forward to photographing lots of amazing weddings in 2013.

I creep slowly back to my blog with my tail between my legs. The reason for the lack of blog posts since August is that I’ve been crazy busy with weddings.
2012 has given me some amazing opportunities to photograph at some truly beautiful wedding venues and a chance to work with some gorgeous couples. So here we are in December (how did that happen) and I’m thinking about buying a Christmas tree and looking forward to photographing my final wedding of 2012. I can’t wait to post Ellen and Mark’s Christmas wedding in a couple of week’s time. After which point I’m aiming on a blogathon to show you all the super weddings I’ve been a part of this year.
So I am going to kick start my blog drought and in no particular order, I’d like to share with you the wedding of Sam and Tom from September at Bury Court Barn in Surrey. This was the second of two weddings I photographed there this year. Sam and Tom married at the catholic church of St Joan of Arc in Farnham, followed by a reception at Bury Court Barn with their friends and family. The rain, which has been so prominent this year, did make a little appearance but didn’t dampen spirits. Their portraits were effortless and you can clearly see just how besotted these two are with each other. A big thanks to Victoria Pearson my lovely assistant and to Sam and Tom for having us as your photographers. Here is a taster of their beautiful day.
Please keep checking back on a regular basis as I’m hoping to be able to post a couple of weddings a week from now on. There’s so much wedding goodness to to come……

To say I have ring envy is probably a slight understatement. I clocked Claire’s yellow sparkly diamond as soon as she stepped out of the car. You see, I have ALWAYS wanted a yellow diamond and as yet none of my brides have had one. I have dutifully posted a picture of the said Yellow sparkly number on my Facebook page in the hope that the husband may stumble across it and skip off to the shops to purchase one for me…...I think I may be living in hope for a while longer.
I first met Claire and Rob at Northbrook Park where they were guests at Emma and Phil’s wedding and just under a year later I got a call from Claire asking me to photograph their own big day at Avington Park this coming September.
So this morning we met at the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park in the hope that we would get some sunshine for their photo shoot. It was also nice and local to Claire and Rob who were taking the day out from running their company, Wired Events. I thought my phone rang lots, I have now changed my mind ![]()
Here are some of my favorites from this morning and I’m super excited about their wedding day at the beginning of September.

Amy and Mike drove down from London on Friday for their engagement shoot, which was also Mike’s birthday. Amy had arranged a lovely surprise for Mike and was whisking him off for a weekend away in the New Forest.
We were reasonably lucky with the weather, it started with rain and ended with rain but we did get a little break in between and managed to grab some relaxed fun shots of them both. Amy and Mike are such a lovely couple, it was great getting to know them a bit better before their big day. They marry at the end of September at Gate Street Barn, in Surrey.
Here are my faves from their session.
