To say I have ring envy is probably a slight understatement. I clocked Claire’s yellow sparkly diamond as soon as she stepped out of the car. You see, I have ALWAYS wanted a yellow diamond and as yet none of my brides have had one. I have dutifully posted a picture of the said Yellow sparkly number on my Facebook page in the hope that the husband may stumble across it and skip off to the shops to purchase one for me…...I think I may be living in hope for a while longer.

I first met Claire and Rob at Northbrook Park where they were guests at Emma and Phil’s wedding and just under a year later I got a call from Claire asking me to photograph their own big day at Avington Park this coming September.

So this morning we met at the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park in the hope that we would get some sunshine for their photo shoot. It was also nice and local to Claire and Rob who were taking the day out from running their company, Wired Events. I thought my phone rang lots, I have now changed my mind grin

Here are some of my favorites from this morning and I’m super excited about their wedding day at the beginning of September.

Amy and Mike drove down from London on Friday for their engagement shoot, which was also Mike’s birthday. Amy had arranged a lovely surprise for Mike and was whisking him off for a weekend away in the New Forest.

We were reasonably lucky with the weather, it started with rain and ended with rain but we did get a little break in between and managed to grab some relaxed fun shots of them both. Amy and Mike are such a lovely couple, it was great getting to know them a bit better before their big day. They marry at the end of September at Gate Street Barn, in Surrey.

Here are my faves from their session.

Sometimes you just get lucky! Yesterday evening’s pre wedding shoot with Nichola and Matt was just that. This shoot was planned for this morning. I’m sat here looking out of the window at high winds and rain, more reminiscent of a late October day, not July 2nd and I’m feeling more than a little bit smug.
It’s been an unpredictable year, weather wise and as a wedding photographer you have to be prepared to shoot in all conditions. Luckily with a quick bit of weather watching yesterday and a flexible bride and groom we re-arranged their pre wedding shoot & dodged the raindrops to enjoy a gorgeous beautiful hour of golden light.

I want to say a big thank you to Matt and Nichola for driving for over an hour at really short notice so this shoot could happen. Here they are loved up in the eve sunshine.

This was the second attempt at setting a date for Seren (who I think bears a slight resemblance to Mel Blatt from the band All Saints…..am I showing my music age now)?  wink and Paul’s pre-wedding shoot and we got lucky with the sunshine. We decided to shoot in the Walled Garden at Loseley House as there was so much colour. I absolutely love poppies so when I saw the mass of pretty red in the vegetable garden I couldn’t resist using them as a backdrop for many of their shots. Seren and Paul marry in July at their local church followed by a reception at Surrey venue Gate Street Barn.

Last Saturday I met with Hannah and Steve for their engagement session. Originally we had planned their shoot for Sunday but as the weather didn’t look so great, we brought it forward.

The river in Godalming was chosen as this is somewhere Hannah used to come with her dad.

Hannah and Steve marry in June during the Jubilee weekend at Brooklands Hotel in Weybridge, following a ceremony at Hannah’s local Church. This is one of two weddings I’ll be photographing during that weekend. Lets hope this glorious weather stays for a bit.

Here are a few of my favorite picks from their session last weekend.
