Ben and Meag arrived in the UK last week to take on UK leg of their wedding. The Butlers Arms (the local pub) in Sutton Coldfield was the chosen venue for the re-enactment of the Toronto wedding from November 2009. Joined by many of their friends and family from the UK who were unable to attend in November, Ben and Meag repeated their vows and exchanged rings for the first time. The Bride wore an ivory satin knee length dress from Cabaret Vintage and carried a simple bouquet of white anemones with inky blue centres.
Meag is a bit handy in the kitchen & I previously covered the Cup Cake journey & Meags own blog Butter Sugar Flour on my blog in June.
Apart from the Bride & Groom the cakes were the centre of attraction at the wedding. But Meags creative juices did not stop at the cakes…there were lots of lovely touches that she’d arranged, like the custom letter pressed beer mats, personalized drinks menus and the huge cream helium balloons that adorned the front of the pub. Drinks tokens were divided out for each guest and came packaged in tiny ornate envelopes from Etsy. Nothing had been left to chance. Meag is super organized.
We finished the evening off with the Photo Booth and as usual this went down a treat with the guests, young and old.
Here for you to enjoy is a snippet of Ben and Meags wedding party.
