It was a birdy kind of day last Thursday and I’m talking about the feathery variety! After speaking with Emma the night before her big day, I began to get quite excited, I had not realized but there were to be peacocks roaming about the grounds at Northbrook Park. and I do love a peacock photo. However, it was mating season and blimey do they make some noise. The boy’s were out strutting their stuff in full showgirl feather regalia, flirting with my camera at every opportunity. Needless to say I have quite a few peacock images from the day grin

Emma and Phil’s day rocketed to temperatures of 27 degree’s, completely unseasonal for April. The guests however were able to make use of the beautiful gardens at Northbrook Park well into the evening. It felt like a tropical paradise. The resident African Grey parrot certainly thought so too and was mingling with the guests, chatting away and sitting on shoulders. It was a truly gorgeous day and Emma and Phil were a pleasure to photograph.

I need to say a huge thank you to my lovely assistant, Fiona Kelly, who worked tirelessly in the heat with me all day, you’re a star!

So without further ado, here are the peacocks, the parrot….oh and some wedding pictures wink
