Emily and Paddy married at the beginning of August at St Augustines Abbey in Chilworth. The Abbey has been closed as a parish since Jan 2011 & was specially opened just for their wedding ceremony, so it was an absolute privilege to be able to capture the service for them. Not only was this a local wedding for me but one where the Bride and Groom were already known to me. I had photographed Emily’s brothers wedding the previous year and Emily’s nephews Christening earlier this year. I was becoming the official Daulton family photographer!
The marquee reception was held at Burrows Lea country house with the most stunning backdrop overlooking the Surrey Hills. We were spoilt with the most glorious weather whilst Emily looked radiant & Paddy looked equally handsome in his Military uniform. Guests enjoyed champagne in the gardens before being seated for dinner. After the wedding breakfast, I stole Paddy and Emily away to catch the golden light just before sun set over the hills. It truly was the perfect summer wedding. Big thanks to Thea Courtney who second shot for me and covered the last part of the eve so I could catch the Eurostar for my two week family holiday in the South of France. Here are my favourites from their day.
