Jen and Tim, Wedding Gate Street Barn

August 25, 2011

It was a cheesy kind of wedding and I don’t mean that in a naff kind of way. Tim’s surname is Cheesman and as you can imagine there were a lot of cheese jokes in the speeches. Not only that but they chose to incorporate their surname into the table names. Each table had a cheese, so for Jen who is from Leicestershire, it could only be a Red Leicester.
On Jen and Tim’s first date, Jen bought Tim a gift, a little clockwork mouse. At the time she was totally unaware of how apt this present was. Tim had kept the mouse and decided to share their story in the speeches. A highly embarrassing moment for our lovely bride.
So Jen and Tim were a very local couple to me. They live in my town and married at the local town church, which was lovely to be on home turf.
The reception was held at Gate Street Barn, which too is becoming a regular venue for me and the wedding breakfast was catered by Kalm Kitchen, who as usual did an amazing job.
The evening entertainment consisted of the ever popular photo booth and Jen and Tim’s first dance was hilarious. They performed every cheesy (get it)?? Old Skool dance move you can think of, including Back up the bus, Peek a Boo, The Cabbage Patch, Robocop, the swim and some ducking and sliding. Brilliant fun and a total crowd pleaser. I was assisted on the day by Rachel Dickson who captured a couple of the shots I have posted below, thanks again, you were fab.
We photographed this wedding a couple of weeks ago and I swiftly departed to head off on holiday to the South of France that same evening. Needless to say I did not get a chance to blog Jen and Tim’s day. So it is without further a do that I would like to congratulate Mr and Mrs Cheesman and share with you the best bits from their wedding day.

Great photos Zoe…everyone loves the one where I’m giving my speech, Tim has his head in hands and Jen has a filthy look on her face…absolutely priceless! Looking forward to seeing the rest!
