Wisley Gardens & Two Photographers

January 01, 2012

It’s true to say that I have been neglecting the blog recently ALOT.

This is mainly due to the fact that my wedding season ended as Christmas began. Since returning from our family holiday in August I have been flat out most weekends either photographing weddings or engagement shoots. I’ve also been busy behind the scenes with admin and editing so that Brides and Grooms were able to have their photos back in time for Christmas.

So now that Christmas is over and we are in 2012 it’s time for a fresh post on the blog. The weather outside is very miserable so I thought I’d share a sunny shoot with you. These were taken at the beginning of October in the early evening at Wisley Gardens. Eddie Judd and I had been planning a shoot swap for ages and the evening light and warm weather was too good an opportunity to miss. Eddie is a local family photographer and good friend. Her children are adorable and very photogenic. Despite all this I was a little bit daunted about the prospect of photographing another photographer and not only that an accomplished family photographer. In the words of scooby doo - Yikes!

You can see Eddie’s blog post with us here. The photos from our shoot are framed and hanging from my wall already as I absolutely love them. Very rare it is that we have a family photo with all of us in. It’s a lovely record and it instantly takes me back to that warm day in October each time I look at them.

I’m finally thrilled to be able to share these sunny carefree pictures of the delectable Eddie and her beautiful family. Hopefully they’ll spread a bit of sunshine on this very dreary start to 2012. I’d like to wish you all a very Happy 2012 filled with love laughter health and happiness.

My New Years resolution is to blog more regularly, so I don’t think I’ve made a bad start.

I have so many lovely weddings and shoots to share with you from 2011 and lots of gorgeous weddings to photograph in 2012 so make sure you check back soon.
